i posted all this shit here back in 2020 but i left so much shit there. All kinds of A/V stuff but their specialty was audio so they didn't really give a shit about the video stuff. The person i talked to on the phone was an old timer that had been in hollywood for like 50+ years. On the phone the dude said he had plenty of monitors and that he'd let them go for $50 a piece for the big ones, $24 for the small ones. When I finally went in a week later it was his daughter that was there to show me around. She had looked up the going rate for broadcast monitors and was much more aware of what she had by the time i went in . She said "these go for quite a bit of money online." i just played dumb, "oh yeah? weird. i just want to do some editing, Do they work? oh theyre not tested? okay."
