I have a GPi Case. It's nice and plays all the stuff I want it to play. I can play Koei strategy games, jarpigs, Doom and Smash TV on the go via the power of AA batteries.

Time for me to do some unpaid shilling for a product I love, I suppose. I'll suggest the Retroflag GPi Case. It's a fun little DYI machine, and you can build it however you prefer. Uses either a Pi Zero/w or a Pi Zero Two/w. It also is able to run the Pi CM3 and 4 modules if you so desire. Runs on AA batteries, but rechargable packs are simple to source and install. Even with the basic bitch Pi Zero it can run a pretty good selection of PS1 games. The Pi Zero Two turns it into a beast that is capable of PS1/N64/DC emulation that's almost perfect, although DC has a few issues that are being worked on last I knew. Best of all you have a choice between Recalbox, Retropi and a few other OSes to put on it.

The only real cons that people tend to bring up are the fact that the batteries are AA unless you mod and the lack of sticks and R/L2 buttons.

Time for me to shill it seems. You might want to buy him or suggest a Retroflag GPI Case. Might cost a few dollars extra for it to be pre-assembled, but it's an incredible system for the price tag and very up-gradable.

Retroflag are releasing a Gameboy shaped case soon for 70 bucks. Just add your own Pi Zero.
