Professional Video Monitor

It's professional/broadcast tier equipment originally intended for editing and monitoring video feeds, as well as certain medical uses. Non-consumer gear built to a higher spec and from higher quality parts in general.
In many cases, properly calibrated of course, they'll provide a sharper, more vibrant and accurate picture than just about any other CRT that you could put them up against.

>Should I theoretically go for the WEGA or the 420gs
Are you looking for PC CRT that you can use for whatever you'd like, be it video/movies, PC games, emulation, etc?
Or are you more interested in being able to connect up older "original" hardware (or stand ins like the Wii)?

The 420gs will be more flexible in what you can use it for, but the WEGA is simpler in the sense of "connect up and go" if you're looking to get original hardware displaying at the original resolution.
