>no moai/volcano levels
>several unskippable cutscenes
>unfitting orchestral/"epic" music
>overpowered options (freeze/directional)
>levels that force you to scroll backwards
>can turn off checkpoints, a Gradius staple
>too many boringly grey mechanical stages
>1x1 hitbox to appease the danmakutards
>final level too easy, unlike earlier Gradii
>can't even play as the Lord British
