>The biggest advantage was the 4 MB RAM cart that some fighting games used to cram more sprites into memory.
Except games like Street Fighter Alpha 2, which didn't use any extra RAM, still had more frames of sprite animation than the PS port.
The Saturn was natively more adequate for 2D graphics than PS, just not easy to develop for.

Holy shit sony fanboy, there was a console called Sega Saturn that got the better ports of all Capcom games.
Playstation ports were all inferior.

It's the console I've been using the most lately, despite not having too many games on it.

Been playing Sanic (on Sonic Jam compilation) and Street Fighter Alpha 2 this week.

I noticed sometimes I just want to play the Saturn simply because the controller feels so good, no matter which game I'm playing.

I've been playing on old CRTs my relatives give away to me for years.
None of them are fancy, they don't even have stereo sound, just yellow and white composite connectors, and that's all I use to play old games. I've seen RGB and S-video output and it's fine and all, but I feel like composite is good enough, looks just the way I remember these games and consoles looking back in the day, and also I don't like the idea of modding consoles.

I would like to have some fancy monitors to experiment with SCART/RGB/S-video on emulators though, maybe someday.
