I know /vr/ hates reseller scum because they jack up the prices of games, won't haggle, and just make it hard to find anything. Today at work, I was thinking about resellers. The main one in my town (small town) has recently acquired 2 really hard to find games for NES. Does anyone else feel that resellers take away that feel of getting a great 'get'?

By that I mean, instead of going out and hunting for a game, or setting up a deal, they're buying everything up before anyone really has a chance to find something in the wild. In my case, deals are usually swiped right out from under me and I don't understand it. Here's an example.
>Someone is selling Mega Man X
>I ask how much
>"Make offer"
>I would say "$20?"
>They would then say that they want to get a little more out of it
>How much more?
>"I was thinking $30"
>No thanks
>Reseller posts "Sent you a message"
>a day or 2 later it's on their FB page for $25
How? How in the shit does this happen? There's no way in hell that a reseller is perfectly fine by only making a few bucks on a game like that. I know I'm just bitching but still.

Are you him? Last time I was in a thread and mentioned that he wanted way too much for a game, everyone agreed except for 1 guy...I'm starting to think he browses /vr/. Also, nice going validating what he does because he "provides a service". If that's the case you validate what any reseller does because of some sort of fees incorporated into the price.
>implying it's my fault because I work and I lack 'skill' to go to the search function of facebook and type in nintendo, sega, ect.

If I ever did start one without winning the lottery, I would do fair prices. I want to say that I would sell games like EB and CBFD for what I felt they were actually worth, but the other part of me says that I would probably mark them up. Honestly, I'd probably call up the other retro shop and see what they were selling it for, and go below them. I do this when I sell non retro games on FB. A game goes for $20 used, I'll sell it for $10-$15. but then you get those low balling assholes.
>halo 4 for $25
>would you do $10?
