I never played the Digimon one, but i did put more time in PTCG than in Pokemon Red.
The sequel is superior in every way, more cards and more areas to explore, also i highly recommend pic related, i have it on my phone, so me and a friend managed to collect all 300 cards, shit is fun as sin.

>open the bag to see the game
>it was SNK Vs Capcom - Card Fighters Clash - Capcom Version
>fucking Ryu from Street Fighter was on the cover
>get home around 5 pm
>don't stop playing until 11 pm
>next day it was Saturday

I remember when Pokemon was the shit and i was the only kid without a GameBoyColor, my Mom took me to a mall on my birthday to buy me a GBC with Pokemon Gold and eat at McDonald's, when we got to the store they told us that they where sold out, my Mom looked at me and saw that i was about to cry, she ask them if there wasn't any other option, the clerk told her that there was the NeoGeoPocketColor with pic related, i was sad as shit but when we got to McDonald's and i saw the box more closely i realized that Ryu from Street FUCKING Fighter was on it, when we went back home around 10:00 PM i started playing, i stopped playing when my Mom call me to eat breakfast the next day, best birthday ever.
