Have you even tried it or at least slightly been on the trail of its construction? What makes you think the plastic and control buttons are typically, if not as a whole, worse than the RP1, Watara Supervision, Powkiddy V90, early Miyoo Mini versions, R36S, Anbernic 35XX, Datafrog SF 2000, or the Powkiddy RG20s?

Microtransactions are small but numerous optional fees that boost "performance" in a game that is usually (if not necessarily) free-to-play. In the case of DD3, the "transactions" are the same amount required to play the game in the first place, so does playing any arcade game also count as a microtransaction in that case?. The fact that either cost (i.e. the same cost) is broadly describable as small (i.e. a quarter) should only be meaningful to some idiot grasping at semantic straws while slapping together a clickbait article.

The term is supposed to describe something that replaces traditional out-front profit models by securing an audience first and then establishing a revenue stream based on individually inexpensive optional charges. DD3 is sleazy bullshit, but not THAT specific kind of sleazy bullshit. If anything, DD3 is pay-to-win, though that model is even more specifically related to free-to-play frameworks.
