IIRC, despite being far above the PS1 or N64 in this matter, polygons on screen is unironically one of the biggest bottlenecks of the Dreamcast (alongside post-processing effects), whereas in terms of texture compression and image quality / resolution it's still good when comparing with its 6th gen brethren.

Not even close, unless you're talking about the ports and type of software released for it rather than actual hardware capabilities.

With the recent announcement of Shenmue 3, I decided to break out my old DC, bought a vga box, and picked up an old 22" crt monitor off of craigslist to replay the first two. I figured now is a good time to add to my collection. This is what I have so far:
