I know Trigger has since had a PAL release on Nintento DS and windows but I'm wondering why it didn't have one for SNES and PSX

I'm 9 hours into this game, and I feel like I'm about to drop it. It's so fucking boring. Battles take too long and don't require enough strategy. The whole time I'm playing it I'm thinking to myself "push through it, everyone loves this game so you should see what the big deal is". But it feels like a waste of time.

Am I doing something wrong? Why do people love this game so much?
