I really like the idea of the split up pads, giving both characters their own moves and properties, but it created the problem of having to run back and forth constantly. Mumbo has this problem as well. He really only exists to activate the Mumbo pads, and I wish his moveset got expanded as much as the other two. Speaking of moves, Jamjars is way better than Bottles, but the 360 port fucked up his rhymes.
Grunty didn’t have enough presence. The only difference in her role between Kazooie and Tooie is that she’ll mock you in the hub world, but that felt enough to keep her relevant. It’s a shame she doesn’t show up much since she’s one of the funnier characters. Tower of Tragedy was kind of a let-down compared to Furnace Fun, not that it was bad but just lacking in comparison. Although, it was pretty clever how the questions carried over into the final boss. Also, the skeleton design is a good look.
