Maui Mallard In Cold Shadow- Typical platformer (not particularly fond of the genre). Nothing really inspiring about it though it has some nice animation. Only redeeming quality is the Cold Shadow levels

Can we discuss this gem for a while?

I recently heard its soundtrack in a completely unrelated video on youtube and all the memories of me playing this as a kid came rolling in. I looked it up and found out there was a Megadrive and even a PC version of it. Anyone played them? How did they compare to the SNES one?

Anybody else think that this game bears a striking resemblance to Earthworm Jim at times?

Hard to believe these days, but there used to be a time when licensed games were often some of the best in a console's library. Good developers like Konami, Capcom and even Westwood made some really good adaptations of popular licenses in the 3rd and 4th generation, sometimes even with the support of professional animation studios. But since the 5th, it all seemed to go downhill. There was the occasional gem,(like Pepsiman) yet most of them were rushed pieces of garbage simply made to cash in on a license's popularity. Only recently we are starting to see some good games amongst them. What happened?

I'm not under any impression that I'm the only one who played game X, but what games did you own that you never hear anyone else discussing, ever?

I've personally wanted to know what others thought of >pic, I loved this game as a kid, mainly for the soundtrack, but I never see people looking back at it, so I don't know if it's thought of as good, shit, mediocre.
