Not the same anon, but most vanilla wads to date are still generalized around the same design we've seen since the 90s, even with custom textures, they still manage to make it look like the same generic, bland, boring, piece of garbage. (Refraining from using insults, because that apparently does not count as criticism.

With all those advanced tools and options and possibility of creative ideas, you decide to create the same style, no, same levels of the same copy pasted formula? Where's your sense of architecture? Or proper coloring?
You can stay mad and call anyone a troll baiter and drink your blue pills and stay inside your little turtle shell, or you can take it like a man, take that criticism and use it to improve, even if it comes from something as obscure like >>4491380.

What's a good, consistent resource for retro game reviews?
As in, reviews from around the time of retro games' release.

I know some more popular sites have been around long enough to find some old stuff, and there are some forums where I could at least go back to early-2000's. A lot of times though, when I'm trying to learn about a retro game I missed growing up, I want to find an accurate account of the general opinion back then. Something more centralized and organized would be helpful.
