I really like how this game looks and feels. The previous entries had an aesthetic that verged on dark, creepy, industrial. 3 was sleek, minimalist, bright, just how I expected the future to look back then.

What happen to Futuristic Racing/Car Combat/ all the more fantastical car genres in games? All we get now is the Forzas and Need for Speeds of the world with maybe something like FAST racing neo or a rare Twisted metal to remind us.

Never see this game discussed here, which is a shame. It's in my mind the most polished, tight, stylish futuristic racer out there.

I never figured it'd be obscure, but no one I know has ever played Wipeout
Even on /vr/, nobody ever mentions it
