Like, holy shit, why don't more people talk about how awesome Indiana Jones is? Is it because they only made 10,000 copies or something? Bugs aside, it's easily a top 10 N64 game, and much better than any of the PS1 Tomb Raider titles.

I live in europe and i want to play indiana jones on N64. I have the rom but no emulator makes it work. Is there a special setting or is it impossible?

Am I the only one who's played this? I 100%ed this game when I was 4 years old, and didn't know cheats existed, and now after 16 years it's still amazing.

An underrated masterpiece that will become cool to like once N64 emulators can run it without crashing at the end of every level.

I actually never played Infernal Machine, which is strange because I was and still am a huge Indy fan. Fate of Atlantis was one of my favorite games growing up. I saw this pop up a long time ago, and figure I'll paste it because why not? Not sure if it's still accurate.

---INFERNAL MACHINE N64 EMULATION GUIDE---

Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine PAL rom (Avoid NTSC version of game at all costs.)

http://krikzz.com/forum/index.php?topic=1761.0

Configure the emulator as follows-

***EMULATOR***
Pure Interpreter\Cached Interpreter\Dynamic Recompiler-
These affect the stability\speed of Infernal Machine significantly. Pure Interpreter is slowest, DynaRec is fastest, but has graphics corruption issues. Cached Interpreter is usually a better choice than Interpreter. If the game crashes suddenly at certain points, such as during level intros, Cached Interpreter will usually fix it. It is possible to change modes while playing by quicksaving, changing the setting, then loading your save. Alternatively, just make use of the game's level select function.

***PLUGINS***
Video-
mupen64plus-video-z64.dll

RSP-
mupen64plus-rsp-cx4d (choose SSSE3 or SSE2 version if your CPU supports that.)

**Video Settings*
Enabling Asynch & Threaded *may* give a slight performance boost in some cases by multithreading the video plugin, but use with caution.

**Input Settings*
If playing with a keyboard, try this control scheme. http://tinypic.com/r/2jab28o/8 It's extremely versatile.

Misc-
To unlock all levels, enter the code FORGEOFF in the game's cheat menu.
Quicksave often. (F6 save\F9 load Change slot with number keys.)

Is there a worse game than this?
My friend and I were playing it today and in the first 2 seconds we got poisoned by a snake!
Then we died and we were still poisoned!
What a shitload of fuck!
We tried everything we could to heal the poison! We jumped about 40 times, kept whipping and even shot our gun randomly! We pushed the 'A' button, 'B' button, all the c buttons and nothing! We pushed every button except start and we still couldn't heal!
Finally after playing for 20 minutes we just gave up!
Old games suck.

How many people have actually played Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine on a real N64?

>Is there anything else I should get?
Get some non-water-based lube for the sticks. Never hurts to give them some.

>-Everdrive 64 v3 (100% rom compatibility and better saving than v2)
Good for you. The N64 itself is largely PAL\NTSC agnostic, and can play NTSC or PAL games and will automatically adjust the Hz to match. But I've heard NTSC N64's can have problems playing some PAL titles for some obscure reason.

Also, you should play Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine.

>Also, for the record, the N64 had the memory expansion already in it. Was gonna buy one but I guess I got lucky. I assumed it would have a jumper.
Important to note that the (U) version of Space Station Silicon Valley won't boot with the Expansion Pack installed due to a bug.

Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine Project 64 bundle.

http://www.mediafire.com/download/z6a3aax8xzdqhdp/Infernal_Machine_PJ64_Bundle_0.1.rar

This bundle features a custom Project 64 build and a save file that gets around the Trading Post freeze by unlocking all the levels via the FORGEOFF cheat. It also includes the game rom file.

The fix used to get Indiana Jones working breaks a whole bunch of other games so don't use this emulator build for general purposes.

Ridge Racer 64 wasn't all that great. Plenty of superior N64 racing games.

>>2258683
>Rogue squadron and episode 1 racer was good.
I misread the post. I actually think Naboo is very decent. I think all the Lucasarts\Factor 5 games for N64 are decent, including this one that is creeping closer and closer to being easily emulatable.

I know it's a cliche by now, but Infernal Machine is a genuinely good N64 game. Not perfect, but it fills the Tomb Raider void.

Don't mind me, I just push the N64 to its limits. Sure, I'm buggy and rushed, but I run at 640x480 with little slowdown, zero fog, and have huge levels with no load breaks.

Improved controls.
Improved lighting.
Improved game design.
Improved special effects.
Distinct lack of bug testing and polish.
