Most people also really enjoy X4 and I personally have a soft spot for X5 (its soundtrack is the only one that rivals the first game imo). Aside from that, I guess there's Mega Man 7? Not quite the same but it's still a pretty good game. I think it has higher production values/possibly a bigger budget than X2 and X3 as well, especially the latter which was partially outsourced to Minakuchi Engineering

The challenge is in trying not to getting killed by obstacles, enemies, projectiles, etc. There are also still some tricky pits, and spikes.

Guitar spam. X2 (and X1 even) has many instruments they could have chosen from, but instead it's just GUITARS GUITARS GUITARS for lead, backing, and everything

Pic related is the last and in my opinion the best game in the entire series. It's a remake of X1 but with just enough enhancements and new tricks to hold its own, plus you can play as Vile.
