Nice, anon. I recall renting it a couple of times, but I had the OG GBA and the screen was quite hard to see for me, so I never managed to get all that into it, but after finally emulating it years later with screens I like a lot better I was finally able to properly appreciate it, and really enjoyed it, to me it's the best of the bunch, with the only exception being Neversoft's original title in 2000.

Well, what did you think of it, anon?
Also, do you think it's a sequel/spin-off to which continuity? GBC, PS1 or neither?

Spider-Man video games were so mediocre in the 80's and 90's that this was genuinely among few better ones for the longest time... I think the 1st ones that actually topped it in quality were about a decade later, Amazing Spider-Man on Game Boy and Spider-Man vs. The Kingpin on Genesis, other titles from the late 80's managed to be worse to me, mainly Questprobe and Doom's Revenge...

I've managed to get a few 1CCs in the past, if you can even call them that for console titles, but the only one I can do sort of consistently is for a late NES title, in 1992, called Spider-Man: Return of the Sinister Six... I grew up with it, and I love the character, but I'll admit this title wasn't anything special, and getting a 1CC in it isn't a big deal, as you only get a single continue, so you'll either do it on a single go, or a couple, no more than that, lose all of your health a 2nd time and you're back at the title screen. I still love this though, I know it's mediocre, but I've got a soft spot for it.
