Yeah although at the same time, as it suggests mystery, it kind of takes away the surprise element. It's like you can guess Mana is suspicious from that cover. And the title "girlfriend of steel" kind of supports that suspicion. The PC cover seems more impactful to me because it's such a wholesome pic, with that clear sky on the background, and Mana's innocent, lovely gaze and smile. Yet the title "girlfriend of steel" creates a gap between what you're seeing and what the title suggests (which could also be interpreted as that she's a robot or something, too). I also really like the font they used on "Neon Genesis Evangelion" there.
The PS1 cover might be the weakest one, but I still like that Mana illustration. It's weird that it's the only version without "Iron Maiden" somewhere on the cover.
A shame that they went full soulless for the 2006 re-release.
