Makes a lot of sense.

I remember they toned down the console version of gta 3 by removing the severed limbs and heads. The pc version came out a while later and had it though.

I'm looking for some fun multiplayer (2-4 player) games for the original playstation I can play with my nieces and nephews. While I already introduced them to crash bash and bishi bashi special (which they fucking loved) I'm looking for something a bit more cerebral. Like twisted metal or something more competitive, I want to hear your opinions.

Help me feed my (our) nostalgia.
I used to play a game with my cousin years ago, lowtier graphics but fun as hell. The intro had truck drivers(?), specifically, an afro woman and others being abducted by aliens. It was some sort of Twisted Metal-esque game where you had to destroy the opponents car. All I remember is the intro, a yellow hovering/futuristic car and swamp with a fucking alligator in it.

It was TM2 that really did it for me, but this is my answer as well.

Also tons of Super Puzzle Fighter, but at this point I wouldn't recommend the PS1 version of the game. The new balanced ones are much better.

When I was younger I only got to play Twisted Metal 3 and 4, and me and my friends played them a lot and had much fun. However I never picked them up to play again and recently discovered that they are considered very inferior to Twisted Metal 2. Can anyone explain to me the reason for that?

Also, vehicle combat general I guess.
