No idea, they're just Madcatz sticks with garbage buttons, but I picked two up around that time for about 30 bucks from Gamestop. Swapped everything out years ago and dropped in a USB encoder

Just buy a decent or even a sort of crap stick that has swappable parts. The stick was like thirty bucks and I upgraded the internals for about another fifty

The stock buttons are shit. If you do nothing else to it replace them at least. Mine started failing after 24-28 hours total use

Picked this up new for about 30 bucks. Stock parts were awful and died within 12-24 hours of total usage. Swapped it all out including the controller board and have been nothing but happy since.

I also just printed out the parts to make a small second controller and bought one of those 15 dollar sets of stick/buttons/controller from Dealextreme to see how they hold up; you get what you pay for. The controller board is identical to the one in the TvC stick but the buttons were garbage OOB; had to lube them to keep them from sticking constantly. The stick is okay but the balltop needs some loctite because it keeps unscrewing in my hands. Honestly the case itself has been trouble free, if small.
