No. Video games are their own art form. Trying to bury them in older art forms is the teething pain that plaguaed all emerging art forms. Cinematics in video games are like scrolling text in movies. Noninteractivity is going to be a huge taboo in games in the next few decades, used only as an artistic statement or a retro throwback.

You need bios files to run some cores, or they will crash unexpectedly.

I wanted to upload mine, but 4chan doesn't allow any filesharing links. Just google for a retroarch bios pack, you'll find one soon enough, I know there's an archive floating around.

You need to put the files in your RA's system folder (specified in the config under 'system_directory = '). Specifically, PS1 emulators need a correctly named bios file (included), most Mednafen stuff needs bios files, and so do most MAME-based emulators.

But I run MAME games on stand-alone MAME. It's in the repos. The RA port is kinda weird (don't forget to change aspect ratios for it, core-provided is sometimes fucked), although it's the only current MAME that runs Deathsmiles et al. Stand-alone MAME needs the respective arcade machine bios files, too, of course, but you can just google mame bios pack or something.

A NOTE ON CD-BASED GAMES (Mednafen PS1 and PCE cores).
You need bin+cue or iso+cue to run games. If the game crashes on boot with a nondescript error, you have one of two problems:
1. In your cue file, the relative path to the iso is in uppercase, while the filename is in lowercase, and Linux is case-sensitive, so it runs on Win but doesn't on Linux. Just rename the link and the filename (both iso/bin and its cue) to the correct filepath and it'll work. I used to have this problem.
2. You don't have the bios, or it's not in RA's system folder, or it's incorrectly named.

>She previously stated that her life depended on it.
She said it in a way that Takuya perceived as "she really cares for that necklace" not in a way that she would literally die without it. And then she lied when she was being attacked and insisted that the necklace meant nothing to her just so she wasn't a burden on Takuya.

>Kun-kun had attained adulthood at that point. The infancy was the lizard form.

That's like saying thirteen year olds are adults because their bodies achieved maturity.

Anon-kun please, why are you being so adamant about this, sexing a wounded, winged, underage, lizard humanoid in their deathbed doesn't warrant as reasonable behavior.

How about playing what you enjoy and don't let people push you around with their personal and ultimately biased opinions.

>We lost a development environment where the competitive nature of sales was based on making a good game and not a CGI/marketing/game media scam.

Actually most of the games were designed around coins per hour, and usually the figure was having a player die in 3 minutes. So the idea for the establishment was having arcades that were able to make players die out as fast as possible but still striking a balance between not pushing them away forever, give them a feel that they could make it next time.
Arcade owners would look at a cabinet and see how much coins they were able to make them in an hour, and if some cabinets were too easy and weren't making them any money they would get pruned out.
It was all about business, and people started seeing arcades as sort of scams that hustled coins from people, of course with that philosophy in mind arcades were doomed to a certain end.
Besides, back then people got out of the house to be entertained, now we get most of our entertainment inside our houses. Arcades didn't die alone, the world really did change in the last decade.

This might be a crapshoot but I'll ask it anyway
Is there any mod that replaces the doom music with this amazing non-official 32x music?

>Power Strike II
Great game, really gets the juices flowing. It would definitely be easier if the controls weren't so sensible, but you get used to it.

>Wonder Boy in Monster World
Great game, a little on the easy side, and it's also short, but incredibly charming.

>Lunar: The Silver Star
SEGA CD version. Another charning game, and honestly if it wasn't as charming as it is I probably wouldn't even like it. The combat and overall everything is ver straightforward and classic jRPG with a little twist with position based tactics. But the simple story really makes up for all of its shortcomings.

>Castlevania: Rondo of Blood
I'm still to beat it with Richter, if you get Maria you break the game and it becomes way easier, specially the Final Boss. It's just one of those games that goes without saying, it's fucking fantastic.

>X-Men 2: Clone Wars
Mixed feelings on this one, the first half is really enjoying and challenging, then it becomes harder and harder to the point of feeling really asshole-ish and to be honest I just stopped having fun and just finished it for closure.

Hey BGH, just wanted to say I love your videos and been watching it since last year. Me and my brother always gather around the TV when you have a new one. Just wanted to say from your last video, please don't change the format into something overly produced, that "amateur" stuff is what makes it look more human. And for the love of god please don't make an intro or something. Also the image quality isn't bad, getting a new camera doesn't seem to be that much of a priority.

I don't know man, it just seems a lot of reasons to me.

People are essentially jealous that they beat them to the punch of showing up early at the flea markets and get all the good video games. Essentially they want all the good games with zero effort, being lazy these days is somehow a virtue in their heads.

They're mad that games prices are becoming inflated, and while this indeed is terrible and it's not getting any better, that's just supply and demand works, it's not even specific to video games, people only pay what they believe is reasonable, and for the most part that's actually the buyer's fault, if people weren't willing to give so much money for Earthbound or Panzer Dragoon Saga their prices wouldn't be like this. Inflation goes both ways, that's just how economy works.

Lastly, it's not like BGH is rolling in fucking money AFAIK, re-selling games really isn't that much profitable. The best anyone can hope for is selling some bullshit game for $40 to $60, how is that a lot of money.

Dingoo A320 is only good for 2D emulation, keep that in mind, and you'll have to install the custom firmware, out of the box the dingoo is pretty much worthless.
If you can get your hands on PSP is way much better than the Dingoo, this isn't even up for discussion.
GCW however might be good, might be not, wait for it.
On the other hands there are a shit ton of chinese portable android consoles, I never tried it honestly, I'd guess the system is okay considering that android has a lot of emulation support, but I don't know if there's any good hardware out there, but if there is it's either the JXD ones or that french (or german?) one that honestly I can't remember the game (help me out here guys)
Also, don't even try the Pandora, it's a fucking cool device I'll give you that, but it's most definitely not worth the price they're asking.

Either way I find that what's out there right now is very far from satisfactory. GCW might change that though, who knows.
