Why does it seem like so many big Doom modders are Leftists or left leaning? Moreover, how does it even come up in Doom modding? I don't remember politics being involved at all in Doom modding 10 or 15 years ago, beyond a "le Bush WMDs" or a Bin Laden joke here and there, but those kinds of jokes where all over the internet back then. Maybe it's just because I never visited off-topic boards on the Doom forums all those years ago, or maybe it's just some kind of confirmation bias in me only seeing the leftist modders, but I simply don't remember it being this way in the past.
