My initial reaction was "th-thanks...", I was happy that grandma recognized my love of monsters but it seemed sucky. But this game really grows on you.

It's not that creepy, but it has campy elements enough to put me in the mood. Also the game as a whole is just ... Strange?

Monster party was really obscure back in the day, though through letsplays its a bit more well known now.
I considered it and Little Nemo's Dream Master to be the best non-Nintendo NES games, still do.
