First CoD was one of the last "revolutionary" FPS. It was on absolutely another cinematic level. It was insane, it was groundbreaking, it put you in the trenches like no game ever did before, and no amount of harm it did to the genre and vidya in general will change that fact to me.
Yeah it doesn't fit current "boomer shooter" definition (if there's any), but once again "boomer shooter" wasn't even a thing just a few years ago.
