I don't see how unless you also have issues with side speakers like these or CRT bezels. At the very least you can turn off the lights and never even notice the bars are there

I have a Sony Trinitron (flatscreen) CRT, when I was a stupid child I accidentally found out how to enter the factory setup menu and messed with all kind of settings to the point I could never restore the picture to how it was before, now it has some kind of distortion near the sides and it's overall not perfect. My parents never noticed it but I know it's not perfect and nowdays I keep noticing it because I'm doing some retro gaming with my old consoles.

Anyone knows how to enter the secret menu or even better how to factory reset the damage I've done through the secret menu?
