I remember back in the day, we were all desperate for a good Dragonball game. The SNES ones were not that good from what I tried and I remember borrowing Dragon Power for the NES and it was amusing but only alright. With the advancement of cel shading, the games in the franchise started getting better. I even remember X-play even giving a favorable review for them over 3/5. I think I remember most is a Quake 3 mod or total conversion that was a DBZ game. Fortunately now there's Arc System Works' version which I still have to get, but I'm afraid to commit that much money when Amazon keeps mailing me Euro versions instead of US ones.

It was recommended to me by local Gamestop associate. Since I had some young family over at a time, and didn't have anything modern for the kids to play had to purchase it in an emergency despite the generally negative reception towards licensed games at its time.

I've been meaning to get Fighter Z, but haven't the platforms to play it on yet. I heard it got ruined by an original character. How much extra is not on disc?

The producers mostly relied on the strength of its brand recognition and failed to fund proper development of the game. They had to plagiarize the music and didn't know how to make a proper DBZ game that would be fair to all characters since the main character had plot armor. So it is more spectacle than mechanics, but aside from being a quiz/trivia game there isn't much fun if it were completely faithful to the source material as was the case for many licensed games made on shoestring budgets.
