I dunno if it would be worth it to try. They're basically exposed as being awful outside of their gimmick which worked at one specific time.
Today there are a few games that have hand-drawn animation looks but are far better games than the old laserdisc ones.
Jotun for example is quite beautiful with its hand drawn graphics and I would rather play that than any laserdisc fiasco just because its a decent action game with good atmosphere.
