There's actually Famicom cartridge versions of Zelda I and II They're based on code from the NES versions, which Nintendo decided to re-use when the Disk System itself was proving unpopular and unreliable.

If GCCX isn't doing a challenge of these games *specifically* because of Disk System problems, these could be the solution.
