Play Gunstar Heroes. It's super fast and will kick away your boredom.

So /vr/ I'm looking for the ultimate co-op games to play with my retrofag friends. So far we've enjoyed:

DKC trilogy
Gunstar Heroes
Goof Troop
Streets of Rage series

Games that implement a 'levels and lives' mechanic like SMB3 are welcome, but not mandatory.

Gunstar Heroes.

I just do not find it fun and I think it's really ugly.

If you like it, that is fine and I hope you find a mint copy at a garage sale for $5 and you love it forever

Do any of you notice that unlike when you were a kid you now just can't enjoy certain types of old games which focus on retrying the game and losing your progress to gradually gain enough skill to make incremental progress over months or years? Mostly due to conditioning from modern games or an awareness of your life ticking away. Is there any solution to this?
