With all this controller talk, I got curious: what FPS you think do work with gamepad? Besides console titles, of course. I feel like Wolfenstein 3D would seem fine.

Should I look into getting Xbox 360 gamepad for PC as third world country pooranon?

I'm sitting on ~7 years old Lenovo G505s that doesn't support Vulkan either, but port works well enough on DirectX or OpenGL. There're some graphical glitches, but nothing too major - I was able to run through original episodes and DOPA on Nightmare for achievements without much difficulties (technical, that is). Multiplayer also works fine if you ignore scuffed ping, but that's seemingly a common issue + I'm from Russia, so... Yeah.

I don't understand what kind of black magic my potato laptop is casting, but that's not the first case of it running something it shouldn't really be able to. Anyway, maybe it will work well enough for you as well... or get some sleep like me, I don't know.
