Exactly. Some fucking moron thought it would be a good idea to make a texture pack that replaces all the Thief 1 textures with their Thief 2 equivalents, or the closest ones they "felt" were a good replacement.

It fucking ruins the aesthetic of all the missions as most of the Thief 2 textures were de-saturated since they added colored lighting into the engine between games. I guess they felt between games why bake in the colors when the lighting can do it for us? They look fucking horrible and lifeless in thief 1 which wasn't designed for them. And people fall for it all the time because "well duhhh it's the newer game so they must be more hd!!!"

Yes I'm this fucking mad about what texture packs people play with. Nothing pisses me off more than the HD mod though, look at this horseshit.

The hammer temple is the most egregious one of course. No regard for the game's color palette at all, and there's even the dumb fog for no reason.
