I don't even pretend to understand futa but hey whatever gets you going man as long as you ain't hurting anyone, more power to you.

I'm just looking forward to some good ol' Aftershock content and more action with my girl Shelly.

Heh, kind of a nice touch! Especially if they did it to intentionally reference her original designs.

I think in general Ion Fury's weapon balance in and of itself is pretty good, I'm mostly just hoping that the game would get some "superweapons" towards the end, like a flamethrower equivalent / big plasma.

I would love to see more alternate death sprites, that would alone make a lot of the weapons feel more powerful without necessarily increasing the actual hp damage. Of course, that is a LOT of work, which is one of the reasons it's pretty phenomenal Blood did so many varied death animations for the enemies (including special voodoo doll kills) and they are also very high quality!

I would also love to get like a deployable turret similar to FEAR's turrets except maybe use the minigun to deploy it on the ground and have it shoot at enemies, it won't target you but it could do friendly fire.

>the least impactful contributions to DOOM 1
From what I read in Masters of Doom he seemed to have worked quite a lot for DOOM 1 and then his head was permanently stuck up his butt because of the insane success of Doom and him taking on the role of the head of the company.

It's true though, Carmack was the more responsible one and it's sad that the power duo broke up as relatively early that they did because Romero didn't want to do any work. But for all intense purposes, I think Romero still is literally John Doomguy and I feel like Carmack wouldn't even want the award.

>Doesn't it just depend on the kind of game?
Exactly, finally someone that gets it. I feel like the two gun limit in shooters got a bad reputation because a lot of games just mindlessly copied Halo / Call of Duty instead of coming up with their own balance. This trendchasing hurt a great number of games including Duke Nukem Forever. I'm not a fan of the two weapon limit, but it can "work" in a game balanced and planned around it.

>If you think that every single shooter needs to have the exact same design for carrying and switching weapons then you need to take your autism pills.

Also this. It feels like it should be just... clear to everyone that hey, each game can kinda do their own thing depending on what kind of gameplay balance / tone they are aiming for.
Preach. Variety is the spice of life in pretty much every aspect, especially entertainment.

I wish Duke It Out in D.C had more "flavor" to it. People shit on the 20th Anniversary World Tour but it's pretty neat that every level has it's own "theme" and custom art etc.

But I also think that dividing a theme into it's own "sub-game" because then you can have expansion-specific re-skins of the enemies etc. Would've loved to get like FBI pig cops in Duke it Out in DC etc. Something built along a general theme, like Redneck Rampage Rides Again and it's "road trip" nature across the southern states, maybe something like that for Duke that takes him through a good few stereotypified cities.

Ideally I would also want to see a Duke x Ion Fury crossover since Duke and Shelly were meant to be a pair...

I was really wondering where were all the Monica & Bill jokes in Duke it Out in D.C but the expac came before the sex scandal.

Oh well. For what it's worth, the 20th Anniversary World Tour did pretty well in terms of diversifying the locales and every map / location felt appropriately different.

Would've been cool to see something between World Tour and Redneck Rampage Rides Again, where the episode's levels are different U.S cities or each episodes is like 2-3 levels in each of the notable cities.

Ideally you'd see Duke Nukem crossover with Ion Fury character wise, like the pair Duke and Shelly were meant to be.

>Remember Wrath
It might be good.
>Remember Ion Fury Aftershock
The devs have been lately more active. I wish they'd add more than like 1 new weapon because one of the big issues of IF is the weapon progression stopping after you get the minigun.
>Remember System Shock Remake
They showed gameplay a few months ago. You don't need to overexpose every game.
>Remember Graven
Yawn
>Remember Rise of the Triad Remaster
It will come eventually and the 3 people who actually want it will be happy.

>Remember Sin Remaster
People will be disappointed with it because SiN has so many shitty levels.

>Remember Kingpin Remaster
Kind of? I wish for a full on REMAKE of Kingpin because while it's kind of fun, I think I'd rather just play through Return to Castle Wolfenstein or something.

Ideally we would've gotten a sequel of Kingpin : Life of Crime right after RTCW because it feels like RTCW is one of the damn near perfect 00s fps games with it's tight movement, satisfying shooting, grounded in realism but not enslaved by it... Also big tiddy Elite Guards... Hot!

Eh, maybe it's just personal bias, but I really love Shelly. I can see why some people might just see her as knockoff Douk, but I think her VA did a great job of adding a bit more wryness to her lines.
