Ys II.
Shit is fucking crazy. Adol goes mad, key characters die, gore and blood everywhere, feels 90's as fuck.

The Ys I anime is really tame, but this...man.

Not yet, but I watched the Ys II anime a week ago, and it featured the best Adol ever.

Also, everyone is a fucking jerk except Keith, and lots of important characters die (even if they canonically appear in later games...).
