I like to add heavy scanlines because I like the aesthetic. I also prefer scaling that retains an angular, pixelated quality instead of making shit blurry. If there's one thing that legitimately makes a game unplayable for me before I've ever even played it, it's the thing being blurry as shit.

xBRZ is pretty good.

I don't think the colour modification is that bad. It just makes it a tad darker. It looks much better in motion IMO.

I can definitely understand not digging the curvature. I will say it looks much better in full screen, though, as it is set against a black backdrop and doesn't feel odd looking at it perspective-wise.

I agree that the super ghosting looks extremely odd and out of place, though. I tried that shader and I just couldn't deal.
