I found this playing Rondo of Blood. If you hit these 3 statues once (it has to be exactly one hit each, if you hit them more than once, they'll go back to their original position), a bag of money with a lot of points will surface in the floor.
The only way I found to actually be able to do this is with the Axe subweapon, it's the only way to hit them exactly once. Maria's animal attacks aren't effective so it can only be done with Richter if I'm not mistaken.
I've never seen this being referenced anywhere online, I posted it a couple times on /vr/ though.

I discovered this and didn't see it ever mentioned anywhere.
In this room, if you hit the 3 statues with an axe, you'll get a hidden gold bad that will give you a lot of points.
The only way to hit all 3 of them is with the axe, so you have to discard the more OP bible subitem that you get in this level.

You can move these three statues here with the axe. You need to hit them each once, and then you will be rewarded with a hidden bag of gold. Kind of an obscure secret I discovered that I never saw anyone else mention anywhere.

In this room you can get a secret gold bag if you hit these three statues. I believe it can only be done with Richter, and you need the axe subweapon to reach them.
I actually found this myself and didn't find anyone talking about it online, like it's not listen on Castlevania websites by fans or in forums, so I think it is a kind of obscure secret.

Rondo secrets that might not be general knowledge.
In this chapel room on stage 3, there's 3 statuas right before the big bell with the giant skeleton. Use the axe to hit each statue once, they will change direction, when all 3 face the opposite direction, a gold bag with lots of points will drop.
And 2 hidden mechanics not many people know about, first is that you can walk backwards, like moonwalking, if you press and hold the attack button, while you're pressing it, you can walk in the opposite direction without changing the direction you're facing, this comes handy to fight some enemies.
And then there's a way to make the vampire killer a bit longer for a second. You must press the attack button then right before the moment the whip reaches its longest, press forward and the attack button at the same time. If you did it well, you will see the tip of the whip will flash a bit and become a pixel longer.

I discovered this one myself and didn't find anyone mentioning it.
See these 3 statues? If you can hit them each individually they will face the opposite site and a special gold bag with 1000 (or 10000? can't remember) points will drop.
Also, you can walk backwards if you hold the attack button.
And, this is something I actually learned from an anon here but is also pretty interesting, you can actually extend the whip by 1 or 1.5 pixels if you press right (or left, depending where you're facing) right at the same moment you press the attack button (or maybe you had to time it exactly when the whip reached his longest, can't remember for sure right now).
And for some more generally known but still might be under some people's radar are the fact the first stage of Rondo is actually the same town from Simon's Quest, Aljiba, you can check it if you press up at the wooden sign post at the beginning of the level.
And also, on stage 5 (the ghost ship), there's a secret passage you can only get in with Maria, and there's just a candle and a weird looking portal or mirror, but nothing happens with it, probably was meant to be a sort of alternate path thing but later dropped mid-development.

And from Super Castlevania IV, this is also well known and is listen in most sites with cheats and secrets, but for some reason I only found about it recently, I'm talking about the hidden room in the Treasury.

Close second but the chapel is my favorite Rondo level.

I love the skulls looking at you in the background at the beginning of that level, and that spinning crypt is also pretty cool.

Recently found out 2 new things on Rondo of Blood.

First, in this room, if you hit each of these 3 statues and make them face the opposite direction, a cash bag that gives you 1000 points will drop. You can hit them with Maria's double jump and regular attack, but for ritcher you will need the axe.

And also, if you hold the attack button, you can walk backwards, like moonwalking. This can actually come in handy when fighting some enemies so you don't waste time facing opposite direction.

I haven't found any site that mentions this and just discovered it by myself the other day while playing Rondo of Blood for the 1000th time.

See these 3 statues to the upper right part in this room? Hit them each once with either an axe, or Maria's regular dove attack works too if you jump high enough. Once all 3 statues are facing the opposite direction, a cash bag that gives you 1000 points will drop.
