I get why many dislike it, but to me I can see the benefit of having individual buttons, and of that traditional system with a single piece, Sony just takes both and gives us the benefits of either, it seems benefitial to me, and the feels is superb.

No, only if your DS4 isn't working well anymore, if so then a DS over a new DS4 sounds good, but don't get a DS if your DS4's working fine since its not a huge difference, I like the DS better, but it isn't worth the price if you don't really need it... also, don't get the edge unless you want those extra features, it's expensive and feels the same.

I had no idea I could do that... thanks, anon!

>Playstation controllers have the worst d-pad ever conceived.
I've never gotten the hate from them, they're a Nintendo styled one, but with the middle section covered up to avoid lawsuits, that's it, it works in the same way and feels just fine, especially in the DualShock 4 and DualSense since it's way bigger.

I like both, though when I finally got to use my friend's DualSense for a proper playing session, the thing felt much better than I though, it just feels like a XBOX controller, which I like the feel of, but with the PlayStation button layout, that I think is perfect for retro overall, need to get one.

I really feel that Sony managed to make the best "definitive" controller with the DualSense, I know it's personal, but I feel that the D-Pad being in its secondary position is more uncomfortable than a stick in the secondary position, so I like symmetry here, and it feels best for 2D stuff which is what I play the most, it's also comfortable to hold and I love the touchpad since it functions as a mouse.

I was confused and overwhelmed at first, since my controller before this one was a Genesis 3-Button controller, so it was a major jump... I got used to it pretty quickly though, amazing console.

I never go back to it though, if I play PS1 now I prefer the DualShock 4 or DualSense, they improved on the foundation set by it perfectly.
