I keep getting lost and the levels are nearly empty

Doom 64 is the most aesthetically cohesive classic Doom game. It doesn't feel like a hodgepodge. The visuals, music, and gameplay all work together. Doom/Doom II are fun games, but they're basically kinda random with plagiarized metal music playing in the background. Doom 64 has an art style tailored to the themes of the game. Its level design complements the art style. Its music complements the level design and art style.

What's the best (practical) way to get the Doom 64 experience?

I started started playing doom on the nintendo 64 its a mixed bag of a game and I want to hear your opinions on it.

This one is my favorite excluding the PC versions.

I've filled up most of the available password slots on the controller pak with various playthroughs.

so do you guys consider Doom 64 to be the 'real' Doom 3?

Shit I remember playing this game and being too afraid to get past the first area.
Also is there a Doom 64 PC wad file somewhere around? I've been wanting to play this on PC but I don't want to have to play it on an emulator.

I fucking loved this game as a kid. Never made it past MAP06 back then though.

Picked this up for next to nothing. Great game and very affordable.

First played it on DOS at a friends house. Parents wouldn't buy it cause it was Satanic. Then they bought it for me a year later on PSX when it came out then later N64 (although my mom threw away the cool pentagram poster that came with it). Go figure.

Now I'm an adult and I can do whatever I want.
