I'm starting to get fucking bothered with this level. The half-block movement is both nice and a bane of my existence. Moreover, I have no idea if this is actually the right way to do this level or if I'm going about it the entirely wrong way.

There just seems to be no other way to do it, but if this is the right way, then it requires such precise movement that it seems barely possible.
