The Gameboy is especially guilty of this sort of artwork. Based on the US artwork you'd figure the game would be about a detective who was left for dead seeking revenge, but in actuality it's a game about a cutesy ghost possessing other cutesy characters. The European artwork is much more accurate. This happens a LOT with Gameboy games in particular.
