My counter arguement is this concept art for A Link to the Past, alongside the "Book of Magic" in Japan outright being called Bible, while Silver was thought as a holy metal that could destroy a repel evil in medieval times, hence the Silver Arrow in early Zelda.
While praying to Jesus didn't made it to the final ALttP (alongside the old shield with a cross from the NES days), when Link "makes a wish" to enter the Desert Palace, the Japanese dialogue says to pray. If you look at his animation, he's doing the catholic crossing on him before praying.

LttP is the most pleb of all the Zeldas and has the most linear game design and dungeons pretty much the most basic action game of the series with no real exploratory aspect to finding dungeons. The dark world mechanic is underused and just a cheap way to change the world without any solving with items or equipment. A Link Between Worlds is an infintely better designed sequel and should really be considered the definaive remake of LttP.

What got you into retro gaming?

For me it was modern games lack of soul, and challenge.

Looking for action-rpgs where you just control 1 character and it's more action focused, not puzzle focused.

I feel fairly confident that Jesus is never specifically mentioned in any Japanese retro game period (feel free to prove me wrong) so this discussion will just end up being "this game's christianesque religion is more accurate than that game's because it more closely aligns with my subjective opinion"

I started gaming using an emulator in grade school, and spammed save-and-reload frequently to avoid any kind of damage. One day, the "reload save" button on my parents' keyboard broke. They weren't angry, but it was only then I realized the error of my ways. There are dozens of classic games I've still never beaten without save spamming, even if I've seen the ending.
