Not him, but I love the PSP graphics. But yeah, IV PSP looks somewhat worse than I/II.

Depends. The PSP version of I is somewhat easier, having less EXP needed for lvl up and a general buff to the Thief and Red Mage classes. If you want a less "HD" look, just go with the DoS version (although it doesn't have the Labyrinth of Time, which is the final-final bonus dungeon and actually damn hard) but the music quality is sub-par.
If you're talking about II, I recommend the PSP version.

>They're atrociously designed
They aren't though. They're your generic "100 floor post game dungeon" put quirky and fun, which means not generic at all. You can diss the difficulty, because, yeah it's pathetic but the post game dungeons are some of the best fun I had from FF in terms of post game ever since Dawn of Souls released.

>Also, the graphics look like an RPG Maker game, they're so bland.
PSP uses the Origin/GBA sprites but in higher res, your thinking of PSP IV's graphics which do look horrible in comparison and too block-y, giving that RPG Maker feel.
