So I thought Holy Hell is an arena-by-arena meat factory worker simulator with plenty of ammo in which you shoot everything until your mouse button breaks.

Then I changed the difficulty, and the very first wave of soldiers fed me with too many bullets. One of the most noticeable gameplay changes I can remember.

Forward Force Generator 9000: creates a sphere around you, and pulls pieces of matter from random locations inside of it, collecting them into a fuzzy growing ball. On release, shoots those particles forward (with some auto-aim), they ricochet, etc. Composition of what is caught inside the sphere defines the effects: air pushes enemies back, particles of solid objects act as projectiles, lava incinerates, slime disorients, if you are caught in the corner or compartment, you get proportionally more projectiles from the walls, and less air, etc.

Particle Accelerated Chainsaw: each tooth of a chainsaw fires a fading green BFG ray when it turns over the edge, so that a couple of them is active at the same time, and they change constantly. Disco!
