GMDX is really nice, but there's nothing wrong with playing vanilla, just be sure to get a modern renderer because the old opengl/d3d ones that come with UE1 games can be incompatible with modern hardware.

Also, battle chess on the NES is incredibly slow. I would've never known until I saw some kids playing the DOS version on a library computer.

The whole 2 weapon limit thing is ass backwards though, I can understand it from the "realism" point if view but when this is lumped in with health that literally regenerates the idea goes out the window entirely.

It's about what is fun for the game, ARMA II can say it has this because it actually tries to be realistic. A game is just trying to have it's cake and eat it if it says it's realistic meanwhile showing things that are profoundly not. Even in Doom you had to find a medikit if you wanted to heal, in COD you hide for a bit and it's all back to normal. I hope the term "spunkgargleweewee" gains more traction.

A great game, have all the game boxes behind me and it has kickass mods.
As for rage, I'll just agree to disagree because I did not like it at all.
