The only game that I played before Code Veronica was Resident Evil 2. I hadn't played 1 or 3. Just part two and Code Veronica on the Dreamcast. I always liked this as a follow up to Claire's story from RE2. RE2's story was already pretty over the top. So I have no problem with the direction this game went in.
