Sick of the "4.7" is too small for gamecube" memes so did a test to end the bullshit once and for all. This is my 4.7" Retroid screen, four and a half feet away is a DVD case which is 5.6" tall for scale.

A 4.7" handheld screen is the equivalent of sitting under five foot away from a 23" screen, something that was fairly standard when the gamecube and PS1 launched. And keep in mind, most living rooms had their TVs even further away than five foot, typically making room for a coffee table or something similar, so this comparison's skewed in the TV's favor and still only managing to be neck and neck with the handheld.

tl;dr, if a 4.7" handheld screen is too small for gamecube, then a 23" CRT is apparently also too small for gamecube.
