>20 year old game on steam goes on sale
>game is broken
>valve has the fucking nuts to put up games they KNOW are broken and advertise them as working
>fan page which has the fixes is riddled with broken links and outdated information
>GOG version works fine
>sometimes with the blessing of the original developers and official unofficial patches included

GOG will be sorely missed if it goes under. It has the only working versions of quite a lot of games that I love.

So, some of you guys made this informational. I have collected all the games now.

Are you interested in, that i post a link to it at our comrades at /t/? If so, i would like some feedback, as i have not had the time at all, to install or play the games to test if they're working (Only Civ2, as a relief after spending hours patching it together to work in x64 windows, with success however!). If you guys shows interest in it, i hope that it's evaluation would lead to a complete collection, preferable with an already setup DOSBox, so all the games would just run (Beside Civ2 & GTA2, which are clearly native windows games)

The ONLY exception are: Tex Murphy, as it is not at all abondonware, and as hard even the first ones are to find, just as easy it is to get from GOG.com, where it'll also work out of the box. And some of the lemming Xmas limited edition stuff, i could not sort it out which was which of these, so i only include the three major releases.
