Are you really telling me the definitive way to play this game is a version with a bug where your armor is literally useless in dungeons? And there's no fan patch?

Outside of Ultima, Wizardry, Might And Magic, Crash Bandicoot and Tomb Raider, what other western games had a big impact in Japan?

I've been curious to give these games a try. Since my autism, I feel the need to start at 1.

But what I am asking, is there any difference with the version on GOG and the one on C64?
Since I have a C64mini, I thought that I might play it on that, unless there is some major differences between version.

Also, is there a general "need to know" before playing these games?

What's the best version and way to play the original Ultima? Is the first Apple II version significantly worse than the 1986 version? How is the early 90's DOS rerelease?

So I bought the Ultima series on GOG today. Im currently playing the first one and Im finding it pretty fun. But just how am I meant to beat the game WITHOUT having to use google. The first one doesnt even come with a map unlike the other ones.

These old Ultima games are fascinating curiosities for WRPG fans. A lot of care went into them, but they are dated as hell. Ultima 1 is a good way to spend an evening if you can't figure what to play.
