I sped up the video for most of the webm's I posted here with the exception of No Second Prize

That's the only one of the bunch that really was that fast.

The real (IMO acceptable) speed of Hunter can be seen here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QA3pTA2DNhc
But usually those vector graphics games run much faster on the later Amiga models. The processor cache worked wonders on games like these. Not a 3D game, but Wing Commander was almost unplayable slow on an standard Amiga 500, while it was almost too fast on my vanilla Amiga 1200.

I just had to sped up those videos a bit, because otherwise you wouldn't see much of the gameplay, since most of the early 3D games indeed were really slow, especially the 8-bit versions. Hard Drivin' was the worst of those 3D games since it run and with single digit FPS on a C64. And the other ports weren't any good either.

The abomination that is the Hard Drivin' C64 port. I got the game with a mediocre compilation. And this was by far the worst game of the bunch (beside Aspar Grand Prix Master and Ferrari Formula One). Not worth the long tape loading time at all.

There are other early 3D games (or vector graphic games like The Sentinel or the Freescape games like Driller, Total Eclipse, Castle Master etc.) on the system that were by far better than this.
