Part of Suikoden's appeal was that so much was left unanswered. You have countries, factions and a mountain of lore but the game only gives you just enough to leave you wanting more. It all adds flavor. Trails meaning while yak your ear off about a fishing spot till you stop caring. Sometimes less really is more. You need a story to have a world to build off of.

well you're stuck with Vicktor and Flik in 1 so you're pretty limited. I like Kasumi a bunch though.
