Daily reminder that Master Chief is a GMO cyborg and not a regular human. They retconned him to be le sad misunderstood hero in future games, which is blasphemy, because Halo CE makes it very clear that he is as much a robot as a human. Consider the following:
>the instruction manual states that Master Chief is a genetically engineered and TECHNOLOGICALLY ENHANCED soldier bred to have better eyesight, reflexes, etc., irregardless of the mjolnir armor
>if you kill captain keyes, Cortana will say you've gone "rampant", which in the confine's of Halo's own lore refers to an AI decaying and going insane
>sometimes a soldier will say "Look, a Mk V!" when they see you, as if referring to a machine rather than a man
>perhaps the best evidence is found in Grunt chatter: they will call you a "cyborg" outright, and have multiple phrases referencing you as such
This is one of many things CE got right and they fucked up in future game's. It was cool thinking of Chief as a sort of soulless husk designed only for battle, rather than some emo faggot trying to be jesus.
